1. Data we process
Ownlybiz processes account data, contact data, authentication data, expert profile data, session metadata, messages, booking records, payment status data, device and security logs, support requests, privacy requests, and optional analytics data when consent is given. Payment card data is handled by payment processors such as Stripe or PayPal, not stored directly by Ownlybiz.
2. Controller and processor roles
Ownlybiz acts as a controller for platform accounts, security, billing operations, platform analytics, support, legal compliance, and platform administration. Independent experts may act as separate controllers for the services they provide to their clients and are responsible for their own client-facing compliance, lawful basis, notices, and records. Ownlybiz may process limited expert-client data as infrastructure provider.
3. Legal bases and purposes
We process data to provide the platform, authenticate users, operate sessions, process payments, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, respond to privacy requests, provide support, and improve reliability. Optional analytics and advertising processing is based on consent where required.
4. Meta advertising tools and data
Ownlybiz may use the Meta Pixel in the browser on public Ownlybiz platform acquisition pages. When you allow Marketing, consented public acquisition and funnel events may be sent to Meta through both the Pixel and the server-side Meta Conversions API, using matching event identifiers to support deduplicated measurement. The Conversions API may also send limited server-authoritative Ownlybiz signup, activation, purchase, or subscription lifecycle events. Data sent to Meta may include the event name and time, the Ownlybiz page URL, browser and device information, IP address, Meta browser or click identifiers such as _fbp and _fbc, a hashed email address or other hashed platform identifier, and limited funnel, purchase, or subscription details such as plan, billing interval, currency, value, and order ID. Hashing helps protect identifiers in transit but does not make them anonymous to Meta.
Ownlybiz and third parties, including Meta, may use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar storage or technologies to collect or receive this information from Ownlybiz and elsewhere. The purposes may include attributing conversions, measuring advertising performance, limiting or building audiences, and personalizing, targeting, and delivering ads. Meta handles the information it receives under its own terms and privacy policy.
5. Scope limits
The Meta Pixel does not load on independent expert websites, custom domains, private expert or client dashboards, or private booking and session pages. Consented public acquisition and funnel events may be transmitted through both the Pixel and the Conversions API. Ownlybiz does not send private dashboard pageviews or private dashboard content, messages, readings, live-session content, or payment-card details to Meta. The Conversions API may also send limited server-authoritative events triggered by authenticated Ownlybiz signup, billing, subscription, or website-publish flows; only the safe event and matching details described above are sent.
6. Cookies, withdrawal, and opt-out choices
Necessary storage supports login, security, session continuity, and preferences. Optional Analytics and Marketing tools stay off until you allow them. You can withdraw or change your choice at any time using Cookie Preferences in the footer and selecting Necessary only or saving different choices. A change applies going forward and does not undo processing already completed.
You can also review or limit advertising through Meta Ad Preferences and industry opt-out tools. These external choices affect participating services and do not replace your Ownlybiz Cookie Preferences choice.

7. Data rights
Depending on location, individuals may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, or complaint handling. Some requests may be limited where retention is required for payment, tax, fraud prevention, security, dispute, chargeback, legal defense, or compliance reasons.
8. Retention
We retain personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for platform operation, legal compliance, payment records, dispute handling, fraud prevention, security, and legitimate business needs. Deletion requests are reviewed before action to avoid destroying records that must be retained.
9. Contact
For platform privacy requests, contact the Ownlybiz administrator through the platform privacy request manager or the privacy contact configured by Ownlybiz. For expert service data, clients may also contact the independent expert directly.
