- A discount changes the price, intro minutes offer a limited opportunity to assess fit, and prepaid credit holds value for future eligible use.
- Keep the offer and its restrictions consistent across the service page, promotion settings, social post, and email.
- Measure relevant inquiries and service use alongside promotion redemptions; a redeemed discount is not proof of profitable growth.
Start with the hesitation, not the percentage
A promotion should answer a specific reason someone is delaying a suitable service. Perhaps they do not understand what a conversation covers, are unsure whether you handle their problem, or already intend to return and want to fund future sessions. Those are different situations. A lower price cannot explain an unclear offer or create demand for work the reader does not need.
Write one sentence before choosing an incentive: “This promotion helps [a particular audience] take [a relevant next step] when [a specific hesitation] is holding them back.” If the hesitation is simply that nobody has heard of you, start with useful public explanations and a clear service page. A code does not distribute itself.
Choose one of three different mechanisms
A percentage discount reduces an eligible charge. Free intro minutes provide a limited amount of introductory time under the settings and conditions that apply. Prepaid credit is a balance a client funds for eligible future use; it is not automatically a discount, a fixed-duration package, or an unlimited subscription.
Keep these distinctions visible when writing the offer. On Ownlybiz, promotion codes are available to Pro and Scale experts and can target prepaid credit, pay-by-minute sessions, or both. Free-minute settings and prepaid-credit setup are separate controls. Check the current pricing page and your account before promising availability.
- Use introductory time when the purpose is a short assessment of fit, with a clear boundary before paid work.
- Consider a limited discount when the service is already understandable and the reduction is affordable.
- Offer prepaid credit when future use is relevant; explain what the balance can fund and the applicable terms.
| Mechanism | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Discount | The eligible price, under the configured conditions |
| Intro minutes | Limited introductory time to assess fit |
| Prepaid credit | Funded value for eligible future use |
Credit is not automatically a discount, reserved appointment, fixed number of minutes or unlimited service. Check plan eligibility and applicable terms.
Worked example: reduce the eligible rate without promising an outcome
Hypothetical example, not an Ownlybiz customer result: a spreadsheet specialist normally charges $3 per minute and considers a 10% discount on eligible pay-by-minute sessions. The discounted rate is $2.70. Twenty eligible billed minutes would total $54 instead of $60 before any other applicable adjustments. Twenty minutes is an arithmetic example, not a predicted duration or a promise to repair a workbook.
The specialist should still account for platform fees, payment processing, preparation time, and other costs. A $54 client charge is not $54 of take-home income. Decide how many redemptions the business can reasonably support, and compare the reduced price with the work required before announcing the code.
Make the settings match the sentence
For an eligible Ownlybiz account, create a code with its percentage, the relevant application type, and a maximum-use setting appropriate to the offer. Review whether it is active or paused and the conditions that apply to a client. A promotion intended for per-minute sessions should not be described as a discount on every service or every future purchase.
Only announce an expiry date, stacking rule, or per-client entitlement after verifying it and confirming you can honor it. The visible campaign copy and configured promotion must agree. If you set a real limit, state it accurately; do not invent scarcity to pressure a decision. Make the undiscounted rate and the next step understandable as well.

Write one original offer in three formats
Hypothetical social-post draft: “One confusing total can make a spreadsheet hard to trust. Before changing formulas, write down what the total should include. If you want help thinking through the next check, my service page explains my paid advice and a current introductory code. This is a focused conversation, not a workbook rebuild.” Replace the example and promotion details with your actual offer.
Short-video outline: show a fictional table, explain one question to ask about its total, then describe when a conversation could help. Put the service-page destination in the accompanying text. Do not show real client records or suggest the demonstration proves a typical result.
Email specimen for an opted-in audience: Subject: “A clearer next step for your spreadsheet question.” Body: “Hi [name], if one result in your tracker is unclear, first describe what it should measure. I offer focused conversations to help compare possible explanations. My service page shows the current rate, available channel, and any active introductory offer. Read the details there if this is relevant to you.” Use one link and the required sender and unsubscribe information.
Use assistance to draft, then review before sending
Ownlybiz provides AI-assisted campaign drafting tools for eligible Pro and Scale accounts, subject to configuration and the required AI credits. A generated subject, message, or image is material for expert review, not proof that the claims or offer are correct. Check names, prices, restrictions, destination links, and whether an image implies a result you cannot support.
Email distribution needs a properly configured sending provider and the required readiness checks. Review audience permission, preview the message, complete the applicable test and final confirmation steps, and do not assume assigning a draft to a marketing cycle sends it immediately. A social follower is not automatically an email subscriber. Sending-provider costs and limits may also apply.
Separate a successful redemption from a successful experiment
Keep a small record of where you shared the offer, what question it addressed, which code you used, and what happened. Record relevant inquiries, redemptions, delivered work, and repeat interest when that information is available. Do not attribute every subsequent client action to the last post they may have seen.
Hypothetically, five redemptions could all come from people who intended to buy at the usual rate. Another offer might produce one genuinely suitable new inquiry. Neither result proves a repeatable growth strategy. Review the client fit, service workload, and economics together before repeating the promotion or making it larger.
Finish with a small, maintainable next step
Choose one service, one audience, and one promotion mechanism for the first experiment. Publish the explanation at a stable destination, then share an adapted post or demonstration where the audience already participates. Keep any custom domain aligned with your actual brand; domain setup has its own eligibility and configuration requirements.
When the experiment ends, update or pause the offer as appropriate and correct outdated promotional copy. Keep the useful explanation available when it still helps readers. Clear terms and a relevant service give people a basis for deciding; they cannot guarantee sales, search rankings, or recommendations from an AI system.
Is prepaid credit the same as buying a package of minutes?
No. Prepaid credit is a funded balance for eligible use under the account settings and terms. Do not turn a currency balance into a promised number of minutes without checking the applicable rates and conditions, or describe it as an unlimited service.
Do I need a discount to promote my services?
No. An original explanation, useful demonstration, or clear preparation checklist can help someone assess a service without reducing its price. Start with the client question and choose an incentive only when it solves a relevant hesitation at a sustainable cost.
Are promotion codes included in every Ownlybiz plan?
Promotion codes are available on Pro and Scale, subject to the applicable account settings and current terms. Check the current pricing page and your dashboard before advertising an offer. Other tools, provider services, or plan requirements may carry separate costs.
